RED light therapy

Experience cellular level healing, improved skin appearance, and increased energy

Powered by both red light and near-infrared light

What is red light therapy?

It is a light therapy device that combines red light therapy with near and far infrared light all in one device!

Essentially, red light goes into your dermis, while near-infrared light goes into everything below it! Red and near-infrared light have proven to increase the body’s production of energy, reduce damage caused by oxidative stress, and improve the body’s inflammatory response.

Benefits of red light and near-infrared light therapy:

How do red light and near-infrared light therapy work?

Red Light Therapy (RLT) is delivered at 660 nm and is visible to the human eye. Red light is readily absorbed by surface tissues and cells. This treatment supports skin, muscle tissue, and other physical tissue healing.

Sunlight is critical for the performance of our bodies, but we don’t get enough of it. In fact, the average American spends about 90% (or more) of life indoors! A lack of sunlight disrupts the body’s natural balance, leading to fatigue, decreased mental acuity, weaker muscles, and reduced immunity. Red light therapy delivers the benefits that naturally come from sunlight.

Red light produces a biochemical effect in cells that strengthens the mitochondria. The mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell — it’s where the cell’s energy is created in the form of ATP (adenosine triphosphate). By increasing the function of the mitochondria using RLT, a cell can make more ATP. With more energy, cells can function more efficiently, rejuvenate themselves, and repair damage.

Near Infrared Light (NIR) is delivered at 850 nm and is invisible to the human eye. NIR penetrates into deeper tissues, leading to enhanced recovery and inflammation support within the body.

Like RLT, NIR helps to improve cellular energy (ATP) production. 850 nm is considered the most effective wavelength for traveling into the body’s core to prompt deep tissue healing.

How is this light therapy different from other light therapies?

RLT is different from laser or intense pulsed light (IPL) therapies in that it doesn’t cause damage to the skin surface. Laser and pulsed light therapies work by causing controlled damage to the outer layer of the skin, which then induces tissue repair - this is similar to how working out your muscles creates micro-tears in your muscle fibers that then grow back stronger. RLT bypasses this harsh step by directly stimulating regeneration of the skin without the damage.

What can I expect during a session?

The session lasts 10 minutes. You’ll undress and stand between the 2 panels and wear eye protection.

Who is red light therapy for?

It is suitable for anyone above age 16 except for individuals with the following conditions:

  • Pregnancy

  • Epilepsy

  • Cancer lesions

  • Anyone consuming photosensitive medications

  • NOTE: those with retinol or ocular conditions related to diabetes should consult their medical doctor for clearance.
